Top 5% finish at FRC World Championships 2016-2017

This years FIRST Robotics Competition turned out to be the best season yet for our team! With my guidance as design captain we won the “Excellence in Engineering” award 4 times (including at FRC Worlds!) We have worked hard and got past the regional events, (one of which we finished 1st!) We then went on to the Ontario District championships and placed 16th out of over 100 teams overall, which helped us qualify for the World Championships. The World Championships was held in St. Louis, USA which is over a 16 hour drive, but definitely worth it. At world’s we came in 2nd for our division which put us well within the top 5% of over 1600 active teams. Hopefully next year we’ll take the whole thing! Good work Alpha Dogs, (especially design!)
